A Johnson County jury has convicted a woman accused of negligence in the death of her daughter, whose body was found chained to a bed after a house fire. Teresa Dick was convicted today by a jury of manslaughter and false imprisonment in her trial at Clarksville. After convicting Dick, the jury deliberated more and decided on a seven-year sentence for each count -- to be served one after the other, for a total of 14 years in prison. After the November Tenth fire was put out, Dick`s ten-year-old daughter, Molly Holt, was found dead. She had been secured by the ankles to her bed with a padlocked chain. Her mother and her father, Lloyd Holt, along with two other children, escaped the blaze. Both parents were charged with manslaughter and false imprisonment, but are being tried separately. Authorities say the fire the fire was accidental.
