North Little Rock Teen Recovering From Pitbull Attack

A North Little Rock teenager is thankful to be alive after a vicious pitbull attack Friday afternoon. Quincy Layton, 17, was walking near the 21st and Chandler intersection when two pitbulls ran out of a house an attacked him. "They knocked me to the ground and started biting my neck, arms and legs," said Layton. An NLR housing employees heard Layton scream and rushed with a pipe, hitting one of the dogs in the head several times. Paramedics took Layton to Arkansas Children`s Hospital and treated the dogs owner, who suffered injuries when she tried to help Layton, at the scene. North Little Rock Animal Control declared the pitbulls "vicious" and placed them under quarantine. The owner has 10 days to reclaim the dogs.
