Arkansas Tech Student Pleads Guilty To Mail Fraud

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Sentencing will be July 15th for a former Arkansas Tech student who has pleaded guilty to mail fraud. Authorities say 21-year-old Anthony Dsane engaged in a scheme to steal the identities of other students and use them to get money. Dsane, originally from Ghana, will be sentenced in US District Court at Little Rock after the completion of a pre-sentencing report. Restitution is likely determined to be at a hearing. Dsane was arrested in October by Tech police, who accused him of stealing the identities of at least five people -- four other students and a professor. Dsane`s girlfriend, Ashley O`Gwynn, is accused of hindering Dsane`s apprehension. She is scheduled to be tried in Pope County Circuit Court on May 19th.
