The US Defense Department today released
the names of four Arkansas soldiers killed in Taji, Iraq, on
Saturday when mortar rounds hit their camp.
The soldiers, assigned to the Army National Guard`s 39th Support
Battalion, 39th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, were
identified as:
Capt. Arthur L. Felder, 36, of Lewisville. (The military
identified the home town as spelled "Louisville." The family said
it was "Lewisville."
Chief Warrant Officer Patrick W. Kordsmeier, 49, of North Little
Rock.
Staff Sgt. Billy J. Orton, 41, of Humnoke.
Staff Sgt. Stacey C. Brandon, 35, of Hazen.
