A White Hall man has entered a guilty plea to a federal money laundering charge brought after a probe into a gambling house in Jefferson County. Forty-three-year-old "Rusty" Wayne Ray also agreed to forfeit 60-thousand dollars and 30 items seized by federal agents. Ray could face up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced later. Several people were arrested after the investigation. Jefferson County Sheriff Boe Fontaine and a deputy were initially charged with misdemeanors but the charges were later determined to be unconstitutional and were dismissed. The state attorney general`s office has appealed that decision.
