A public-interest group based in Washington
says Arkansas`s Medical Board is one of the ten worst-performing in
the country. The group called Public Citizen said it based its
rankings on information from the Federation of State Medical Boards
on the rate of serious disciplinary actions taken in each state.
A news release today from Public Citizen said the board in Rhode
Island was the worst-performing. Coming up from the bottom, the
other states listed among the ten worst were Wisconsin, Minnesota,
Delaware, Michigan, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Arkansas and
Maryland.
The release said the best-performing board was in Kentucky,
followed by Wyoming, North Dakota, Arizona, Oklahoma, Vermont,
Montana, Alaska, West Virginia and Ohio.
