A new study by a national nonprofit group
says Fayetteville is among the nation`s most livable cities.
Partners for Livable Communities, an offshoot of the National
Endowment for the Arts, compiled the list of the nation`s 30 most
livable cities. The purpose is to highlight cities that have
creatively generated economic growth, provided housing,
rehabilitated downtowns or planned regionally.
The group said Fayetteville was recognized for a mix of positive
lifestyle ingredients including job creation and park space,
quality schools and below-average living costs.
Fayetteville Mayor Dan Coody said the award will help solidified
the city`s status as a regional hub for family living.
