Judge Asked To Block Testimony About Nutt Deal

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Defendants in former Razorback basketball coach Nolan Richardson`s suit don`t want a jury to hear about football coach Houston Nutt`s talks with Nebraska. Richardson`s suit claims that his firing two years ago by the university was an act of discrimination against him because he is black and outspoken. University of Arkansas officials say he was fired because he showed a lack of confidence in the basketball program. The university filed a motion in federal district court today. The motion argues that proposed testimony about Nutt`s discussions with Nebraska is irrelevant to the case. Trial of the case is set to start May 3rd in Little Rock. Posted by Mike Hellgren
