Gas and Government

Filling up one tank is bad enough, but how about twelve-hundred? It`s what the City of Little Rock faces everyday, and like individual drivers, the City is paying up. Even though Little Rock pays less than the prices you`ll find on the street, the City is still paying more than is budgeted. Instead of the $1.12 a gallon that`s built into the budget, Little Rock is now paying $1.38. City financial leaders say it`s too soon to tell if the spike in gas prices will result in cuts to city services. They say that decision will be reached a few months from now, after the start of the busy summer driving season and the increased gas prices that usually come with it.
