Lane Closures On I-30 Start Friday Night

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Beginning tonight at 7PM, Little Rock-bound traffic on Interstate 30 in Benton will shift down to one lane. The process is part of shifting traffic over to new lanes constructed recently. Several exits will also be closed during the process. The on-ramp from Sevier Street in Benton will be temporarily moved to South Street. The on-ramp from Highway 35 will shift One-thousand feet to the west, forcing a quicker merge. The on-ramp at Congo Road will move three-quarters of a mile east while they build the permanent replacement ramp. In North Little Rock, the inside lane of westbound Interstate 40 will also be closed on the John F. Kennedy overpass all week next week beginning at seven PM. At Ten PM each day, traffic will be stopped for up to 15 minutes to install steel on the bridge.
