ATV, WATER BOTTLES NEW CLUES IN MANHUNT

As dozens of officers in Alread continue a mahunt for two men they say tried to kill a trooper, they`re finding clues into another crime the men may be connected to. Forty-nine-year-old Mark Holsombach and 28-year-old William Frazier are the subjects of the search and now also being called persons of interest in the disappearance of Ann and Ted Throneberry. The men were neighbors to the Throneberrys in a remote area of Alread before the couple disappeared three weeks ago. On Monday, when troopers tried to serve Holsombach and Frazier with a search warrant connected to that case, an officer was shot. Since then the men have been on the run and state police, Van Buren county sheriff`s deputies and A-T-F agents have been on the hunt for them. Today, air and ground searches identified an a-t-v that belonged to the Throneberrys. Crews also discovered water bottles hidden in logs in the 50-acre search area. That was more evidence to them that the men may still be in the area hiding. Officers say they`re getting lots of calls from scared homeowners in Alread who have questions about the term "survivalist" that`s been applied to the men. Troopers say the term`s only relevant in a `can live off the land` sense. They say there`s no evidence the men espoused any anti-government sentiment or had any particular political agenda. There`s also no evidence that Holsombach has any of the military special operations training he bragged to neighbors about. According to troopers some in the area have been fearful that one of the men in the woods is a specially trained Vietnam veteran. Investigation has proved that`s just not true. Holsombach was only in the U.S. Army for about six months and was discharged because of a pre-existing medical condition. The Van Buren County sheriff`s department is now offering a $1,000 reward for any information that could lead to the capture of Holsombach and Frazier. If you have a tip, you can call deputies at 501-745-2112, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
