A daughter accused of joining with her husband to kill her mother has been placed in protective custody at the Pulaski County jail after allegedly receiving threats from her husband, the woman`s attorney said Monday. Twenty-seven-year-old Leslie MacKool and 49-year-old Michael MacKool are charged with killing Janie Ballard in Little Rock. Police say the killing occurred over inheritance money. The Mackool`s are both held in the Pulaski County Jail. Bill James, Leslie MacKool`s attorney, asked a judge to issue a restraining order keeping Michael MacKool away from his client. Leslie MacKool is set to be tried on a capital murder charge May tenth, and her husband is set to be tried on the same charge May 24th. Both could face the death penalty if convicted.
