Escapee Caught In Lincoln County

An inmate who walked away from the Lincoln
County Jail is back behind bars.
Officials say Franklin Lee Chance of Star City vanished early
Sunday morning after taking out the trash, but was picked up again
after about 12 hours of freedom. The 38-year-old has been jailed
since November on rape charges.
Searchers from the state Correction Department used tracking
dogs from the Cummins Unit prison to catch Chance. Department of
Correction spokeswoman Dina Tyler says the dogs picked up a scent
and followed it to a deer camp, where searchers on horseback
arrested Chance without incident.
