The state Military Department said
today that more than 120 Harrison-based soldiers from the Arkansas
Army National Guard are scheduled to mobilize for domestic duty
March 13th.
The members of the First Battalion, 142nd Field Artillery
Brigade are being called for duty under Operation Noble Eagle Four,
the stateside mission of homeland defense efforts.
The 142nd is expected to perform security duties at the Pine
Bluff Arsenal beginning in April and remain on active duty for up
to one year.
The soldiers have completed readiness processing at Camp
Robinson in North Little Rock and are scheduled to train
additionally in Fort Riley, Kansas, before their Pine Bluff
mission.
