Trucker Dies From Gunshot Wounds

An Arkansas truck driver has died at a Mississippi hospital from gunshot wounds he suffered this past weekend. Kevin Rice, age 41, was pronounced dead yesterday at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was shot on Sunday at a gas station. Deputy Police Chief Lee Vance says police do NOT know a motive. Rice worked for H and V Leasing in Newport, Arkansas, for at least 15 years. Jim Heatherly, owner of the trucking company, says Rice was headed to Tampa, Florida, to deliver a load of hardwood flooring. Posted by Mike Hellgren
