Acxiom Corporation is looking to expand.
The Little Rock-based consumer database company has offered to
buy European operations from an Italian directories company for
37.5 million dollars. Acxiom expects the deal to close
this spring or early summer.
The company says the transaction could add 63 to 69 million
dollars to 2005 revenues.
The purchase involves operations of consumer-lifestyle databases
in England, France, Spain and Germany under the Consodata name. The
current owner will keep the United States and Italian Consodata
operations.
Acxiom had revenue of 733 million dollars for its fiscal
nine months ended December 31st.
