Employees at Cingular Wireless Protest "Unfair Pay"

Workers picketed outside the Cingular Customer Care Center on Highway 10 throughout the day Saturday. Union leaders say theyre not striking from work, but hoping to send a message to the company. The Communication Workers of America Union says Cingular is cutting workers pay, at the same time theyre buying AT&T Wireless for 41-billion dollars. Jeffery Duckworth COMMUNICATION WORKERS OF AMERICA "That`s right if you can afford to pay that then you can afford to take care of your employees and not cut. They`re not gonna give us anything, they want to take everything away." The workers say the company is cutting their salaries by $4,000 a year, and lowering the amount of their yearly raise.
