Southwest Airlines is closing its Little Rock reservation center Saturday. Its 710 employees have either relocated to call centers in other states or left the company. The Little Rock Center began in 1995.
Southwest says 410 of the Little Rock employees opted to leave the company and 300 transferred to other centers. The airline announced in November that it would close the center. It sited the growth of Internet reservations among the reasons for the decision.
