Man Arrested : Connected With Girl Who Died After Morgan NIck Amber Alert

A man who police say admitted having sex with a girl who was reported missing two days before she died in a house fire has been arrested on charges of sexual indecency with a child. Authorities continued to investigate the cause of Wednesday`s blaze that killed 14-year-old Julia Elizabeth Stern. Jefferson County Sheriff Boe Fontaine says the fire could have been accidental. Sheridan police yesterday arrested 40-year-old Roger D- Reed. Police say Reed told investigators he had sex with the girl at a Sheridan hotel Monday night. Julia, a White Hall High School student, was reported missing about 10:30 p.m. Monday and state police issued a Morgan Nick Alert the next day. The girl was found about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
