Masters To Begin Monday

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Special masters in the Lake View School District case meet Monday to begin their review of the state`s progress in improving the public schools. The state Supreme Court ruled in 2002 that the school-funding formula was unconstitutional and gave the state until January of this year to address the problem. The court appointed two former justices -- Brad Jesson and David Newbern -- to carry out the review to determine if the state has met the deadline. The two special masters are to file a report to the Supreme Court by April Third.
