Amusement Park Granted Alcohol Permit

Despite opposition from Mothers Against Drunk Drivers and from church pastors, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board voted to grant a permit to Magic Springs in Hot Springs. The park says it will only use the permit at its outdoor amphitheater during concerts. Still many were concerned the move would lead to drunk driving accidents on highway 70. The hearing last 3 hours with testimony from both sides. The final vote was 5 to 0.
