Clark`s Future In Politics

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Democratic candidate Wesley Clark`s farewell speech raises questions about his political future. Underlying Clark`s address today was the theme that his presidential campaign was the first contribution to Democratic efforts to oust President Bush. But even Clark looked surprised when his wife of 36 years, Gert, introduced him by referring to -- quote -- "the Clarks in their early political career." What is certain is that Clark`s one-year-old consulting business, Wesley K- Clark and Associates, will resume operations in the small riverfront office that acted as his temporary campaign headquarters when he announced his bid for the White House in September. While Clark remained coy about political plans, many of his supporters ventured to guess, however. Skip Rutherford, president of the Clinton Library Foundation and one of Clark`s earliest volunteers, said he thinks Clark has a great political future at the national and state level.
