Help For Reservists & Guardsmen

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
More National Guard troops and Reservists are serving their country than ever before. The government called up 188- thousand people to serve full time, just over the last year. Leaving their civilian jobs behind, for military duty, means most also leave their paychecks behind. That leaves their families at home, struggling to make ends meet, on government payroll. Federal law does give them a break on interest rates, but for some, it`s still not enough. Congress is working on a bill to require Uncle Sam to pay employees who get called to serve.
