Public Service Commission fighting rate increase

The Arkansas Public Service Commission says it will appeal a ruling that Entergy Arkansas must share in the higher production cost of sister subsidiaries of the Entergy Corporation system. An administrative law judge for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ruled Friday that Entergy Arkansas would have to help companies in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. Entergy Arkansas officials estimate the ruling could cost Arkansas customers more than 100 million in higher rates. The PSC also announced that is has begun an investigation into Entergy Arkansas`s participation in the Entergy Corporation system agreement.
