Cabot says ambulance service overcharged patients

Cabot city council will meet tonight to decide if it should file a civil suit against Allied Lifestar ambulance service. The city claims the company overbilled patients for the last 6 months. According to a contract with the city, the ambulance service was to only charge patients $350. However, patients were being $425. Allied says it made an honest mistake by not going to the city before the increase was implemented.
