Pulaski Co. School Board Votes to Dissolve PASS

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
In a surprise move, the Pulaski County School Board voted to dissolve the union representing school support staff members Tuesday night. Board members called a special meeting at 8:30 p.m. after the union called a two-day strike. Pulaski Association of Suppport Staff voted to strike after the Pulaski district said it wouldn`t pay drivers for extra mileage. Ironically, the board voted to pay drivers for that mileage after expressing disappointment over the strike. Union representatives wouldn`t comment on whether or not bus drivers will return to their jobs.
