The Clinton Library is 65 percent complete
with 300 days to go until the grand opening November 18th.
Clinton Foundation President Skip Rutherford toured the site in
downtown Little Rock for the first time in over a month along with
Mayor Jim Dailey.
Construction project manager Jonathan Semans says the general
contractor is ramping up the number of employees on the site --
from about 170 today to about 250 in the next two months.
More workers are coming on as the work shifts from concrete and
steel work to electrical, walls and finishing projects. Work will
begin next month on turning an 1899 railroad bridge into a walking
trail across the Arkansas River. Officials want to open it December
Fifth -- 105 years to the day after the first train traveled across
it.
Rutherford also says more plans for the grand opening are taking
shape. Landscaping is coming together, a large fountain is being
installed and a stage with jumbotrons is being designed for
ceremonies.
