Is Bush Beatable?

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
With Iowa over and attention turning to New Hampshire, the focus is on a very full Democratic presidential field. All of the candidates are facing the same question: can you beat President Bush? Recent polls show a tough road for Democrats in head-to-head matchups. Bush leads all Democratic challengers by double-digits. Arkansas Republicans say they`re confident up Bush`s chances but realize the country is divided and there`s plenty of time to go. For Democrats, UALR Political Science Professor Dr. Art English says the focus needs to be on domestic issues, like education and healthcare. Polls show Democrats are strongest when it comes to domestic issues and weaker on security.
