With Iowa Over, The Focus Turns to New Hampshire (And Wesley Clark)

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
While the competition was focusing energy in Iowa, Wesley Clark quietly closed the gap in New Hampshire. Now, his campaign is bracing for more attention-- and criticism from the field of challengers. If the last week is any indication of what`s to come, it`s a good thing Clark comes to New Hampshire a battle-tested general. Howard Dean, former Vermont governor, has sent out fliers questioning Clark`s Democratic Party credentials. Other candidates have said the same on the stump. Clark`s campaign says the focus will stay positive, but that their candidate will continue to draw clear differences between himself and President Bush. They say that`s what brought Clark near the top of the national polls, and it`s what will bring him to victory in November.
