A Yell County school, under fire over emails alleging the quality of its education is flawed, is now on the defense.
Kerry Cunningham, principal of Plainview-Rover says the information in the email is false and questions the origin of the letters.
"Why would a representative from Van Buren release them to the press?" asked Cunningham.
"If I lived in this community and I wanted to send an email, I would have sent it to my local representative."
Last week, emails were sent to the State Capital, accusing the school of hiring unaccredited teachers. The emails also appeared to support consolidation.
Reports say the sender was either a faculty member or student at the school. Neither claim has been confirmed.
Cunningham, who is married to Superintendent Jimmy Cunningham, has repeatedly spoken out against consolidation.
