New financial figures out from
Wesley Clark today show a big jump in his income. The retired
general from Little Rock, who is running for president as a
Democrat, rose to $1.6 million last year. The
new figures were released by Clark today in Manchester, New
Hampshire.
Most of Clark`s income -- just over a million dollars --
came from speaking fees and work he did for CNN as a military
analyst.
In 1998 and 1999, when Clark was in the military, he and his
wife filed joint tax returns showing adjusted goss incomes of below
$100,000. More recently, according to the new financial
documents, Clark received $25,000 to $30,000 per
speech in speaking fees.
