Senate bill 1125 would limit the compenstation given to victims and their families who suffer from asbestos related complications. Now a campaign is underway to urge viewers to call their senator and tell them victims should not be denied settlements. The ads start airing today. It`s estimated 1700 Arkansans suffer from some kind of asbestos related disease. Asbestos is a mineral compound used in an estimated 3,000 different products from brake linings to insulation. It can brake into fine fibers and cause lung cancer. Both Senator Blanche Lincoln and Senator Mark Pryor issued statements saying they want to see adequate redress to the victims, but add its not possible if companies continue to file bankruptcy.
