Senator Lincoln Sends 6 Disadvantaged Kids To Summer Camp

US Senator Blanche Lincoln plans to send six disadvantaged Arkansas children to camp next summer. Lincoln`s gift will benefit the children, but she says it is intended to honor her Senate colleagues -- something she does every holiday season. A statement from Lincoln`s office says two of the low-income children will attend Camp Aldersgate, a camp for children with medical, developmental and physical challenges. Her office says the other four children will attend Camp Mitchell on Petit Jean Mountain. All six children will attend a week-long session. Last year, Lincoln donated a flock of chicks to Little Rock-based charity Heifer International in her fellow senators` names.
