Wesley Clark Offered Vice Presdient Spot On Dean Ticket

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Wesley Clark says fellow presidential candidate Howard Dean asked him to be the vice presidential nominee. Clark says Dean made the offer in September, before Clark has entered the race. Dean`s campaign manager Joe Trippi denies an offer was made but says Clark and Dean talked about the war in Iraq and other matters. In response, Clark`s campaign suggested Trippi check the facts before commenting. The campaign says the offer was made in a one-on-one meeting Trippi didn`t attend.
