Staff Sergeant Named Employee Of Year

Staff Sergeant Mark S Mills of Jonesboro has been named Army Guard and Reserve Employee of the Year in Arkansas. Mills is a supply sergeant at the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 875th Engineer Battalion, National Guard Readiness Center, at Jonesboro. National Guard officials said he was selected for the honor based upon his outstanding job performance, team building, work ethic and safety. A news release said his attitude, contribution to the Guard, and community involvement also contributed to his winning the award. Mills entered the Arkansas Army National Guard in 1990 and was assigned to his current position in October 1999. As supply sergeant, Mills ensures accountability for more than 15 million dollars worth of government equipment.
