All 75 Counties Now Report Flu

All 75 counties in Arkansas have now reported cases of flu or flu-like symptoms. The state Health Department said that according the latest reports from county health units, the following counties have now reported cases -- Izard...Lawrence...Cross...Crittenden....St. Francis...Lee and Monroe. Health Department spokesman Bob Alvey says that the flu could have been present in the counties for some time before it was discovered or reported. ------ Flu season hit hard Arkansas early and hard. Officials at Arkansas Children`s Hospital say they have counted 351 cases, more than 10 times normal for this time of year. Three Arkansans have died of flu complications. Health officials are still encouraging people to get the flu vaccine. State health units are running low on vaccine, but many private doctors still have plenty.
