Buyers are snapping up properties in Little Rock`s downtown and historic areas.
Realtors cite declines in crime and the revitalization by the Downtwon Partnership as reasons for the renewed interest.
Tony Curtis Realty, which manages the sale of downtown and historic area homes, tells KARK 4 News 79 properties are currently on the market. Most of those homes are expected to be purchased by the end of the year.
The Downtown Neighbhorhood Association says there are at least 20 blocks of
homes in need of renovation.
Members say the area could become a major tourist attraction once the necessary changes are made.
