NLR Water May Change Color

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Residents in and around North Little Rock near Interstate 430 may find their tap water is discolored Wednesday. Central Arkansas Water is testing a valve to close a 36-inch line so the utility can make improvements. Work is planned for tomorrow and December ninth and December 16th. The line is a major feeder to service north of the Arkansas River, which the line crosses on the I-430 bridge. The shutdowns are also planned on December ninth and December 16th. The work is in preparation for connection of the 36-inch line to a 48-inch line. The new connection will allow the utility to send more water north of the river, as dictated by demand.
