Man Convicted For Wal-Mart Molestation

A convicted sex offender is sentenced to 52
years in prison for an assault on a 10-year-old girl at a St. Louis
area Wal-Mart store.
Pleasant Jasper Hurst of Wright City was convicted of
kidnapping, child molestation, attempted sexual misconduct with a
child and attempted kidnapping.
The incident happened in December in O`Fallon. Prosecutors say
Hurst grabbed the child and forced her to lie on the floor while
threatening to hurt the girl and her family.
The girl ignored the command and began to scream. Witnesses
eventually caught him and held him for police.
Hurst is a registered sex offender who served about six years in
prison for sodomy, sexual abuse and sexual assault.
