Boxer Jermain Taylor Cancels Appearance In Holiday Parade

Little Rock`s Holiday Parade on Saturday will be without Olympic boxing medalist Jermain Taylor. Taylor had to cancel because he has to train for a fight in Connecticut early next month. Taylor is a Little Rock native who won a bronze medal in the 2000 Olympics and is 18-0-0 as a professional. The parade itself will go on as scheduled, at 4 p.m. Saturday through downtown Little Rock. Featured in the parade will be more than 50 marching groups, floats, bands, classic cars, and other entries. After the parade will be the annual lighting ceremony on the Capitol lawn.
