A fugitive murder suspect listed as among "American`s Most Wanted" is in an East Texas hospital after he was shot by an Arkansas doctor he allegedly kidnapped. Authorities say Scott James Eizember had been wanted in the shooting deaths of an elderly Depew, Oklahoma, couple. He`s listed in stable condition at the Memorial Health System of East Texas in Lufkin, where he`s being treated for four gunshot wounds to the chest. Oklahoma authorities say Eizember allegedly kidnapped a physician and his wife in Fort Smith, Arkansas, yesterday afternoon and forced them to drive to Texas. The doctor, Samuel Peebles, managed to grab a pistol he`d concealed in his car and shot Eizember. Authorities say the suspect took the couple`s vehicle and was later stopped near Corrigan. He was taken to the Lufkin hospital, where authorities learned he was wanted in Oklahoma. Eizember`s capture ended an intense manhunt that began on October 18th. That`s when he`s accused in the shooting deaths of 76-year-old AJ Cantrell and his wife, 70-year-old Patsy Cantrell, of Depew, Oklahoma.
