Walnut Ridge Couple Wins Half-Million-Dollars in Arkansas Lottery

Playing the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has paid off 500-thousand times for a Walnut Ridge couple.

James Weir and his wife took their winning Money Money Money instant ticket to the Jonesboro Claim Center today to pick up a $500,000 prize.

The Weir's bought the big winner at Tobacco Superstore #6 in Hoxie, paying 10-dollars for the scratch-off ticket. 

They say they plan to buy two new vehicles and put the rest of the prize money in the bank.
