It`s hard to yell trick or treat, when you`ve fallen to the tricks the flu plays on you. The virus is already widespread in Texas. Arizona, Louisian, New York and Arkansas have all reported sporadic outbreaks. The Arkansas Department of Health says cases have been reported in eight counties: Desha, Faulkner, Lonoke, Miller, Perry, Pulaski, Sebastian, and Washington. "It has the potential to be a big year. I think because of the earliness of our initial," said Charles Beets, director of immunology at the AR Department of Health. Beets says people over 50, people with compromised immune systems and children with asthma are advised to get the vaccine. But it would still help anyone who just doensn`t want to get sick, Beets said. Every year, 36,000 people die from the flu in the U.S.
