Baptist Health Medical Center rewarded senior citizens today for enriching the lives of Arkansans. The hospital held its First Annual American Spirit Award. It`s all part of the "Fifty-Five Plus Services Senior Recognition Program," which honors the elderly for their contributions to society. Actress Linda Evans attended Thursday`s event and was impressed by what she saw. "Most of these people who got up to get their award do more than I do and I`m 60," says Evans. "I`ll be 61 in two weeks and they put me to shame." In all, eleven awards were given out. The oldest person honored was 99 years old.
