Cattle Truck Accident

A cattle truck crashed on U-S 71 south of Texarkana this morning, leaving nine of the animals dead. Another 40 animals ran into the woods after the 18-wheeler overturned. Police say the truck driver fell asleep and her rig overturned in a ditch. Citations are pending against the driver, an Oklahoma woman who was not injured. The accident happened just after three o`clock this morning. The rig was carrying 80 head of cattle. Professional wranglers were called in to help gather in the cattle. Posted by MIke Hellgren
