Little Rock National Airport Looks To Add New Flights

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Little Rock National Airport is hoping to lure more flights and airlines by offering six-month discounts on landing and gate fees. The airport is also spending more to promote its flights. Through September, overall domestic passenger traffic has dropped three-point-two percent from a year ago. Airport officials say the inc entives are necessary to compete with other airports during the air traffic slowdown that still lingers from 2001 terrorist attacks. The airport package would waive airport landing fees and gate rental for six months. An advertising package to promote new, nonstop jet service or expanded service to existing destinations was increased to 25-thousand dollars from ten-thousand-dollars.
