Updated: January 7, 2009
Arkansas` Mothers Against Drunk Drivers chapter began an awareness campaign today targeting football fans at tailgate parties. The group is encouraging fans to use caution when drinking and to designate a driver for the trip home after the game. Dottie, a six-pound Shih-Tzu dog, is MADD`s mascot for its "Designated Dog" campaign. MADD Executive Director Teresa Belew said Dottie will be on hand at football games around Arkansas during the next several weeks to remind fans to have a loyal friend take them home.
