A mother was cited for arming herself with a gun and pursuing a school bus as students were being driven to Jack Robey Junior High School in Pine Bluff. No one was hurt, and the gun wasn`t fired in the incident yesterday afternoon. Pine Bluff say 31-year-old Veronica Irby didn`t take the gun onto the bus or directly threaten anyone. The incident allegedly centered on a dispute between the woman`s daughter and another student. Police say Irby followed the bus in her car, then, with gun in hand, walked toward the bus when it stopped at a traffic light. The driver said that many of the students, including the girl allegedly involved in the fight, jumped out the back emergency exit of the bus while it was stopped at the intersection. Officers stopped Irby in her vehicle and allegedly found a small handgun. Irby was cited for a misdemeanor of carrying a firearm.
