The state attorney general`s office says
Wal-Mart has agreed to make changes that will help curb tobacco
use.
The agreement includes Arkansas and 42 other states. Wal-Mart
will hire a firm to conduct random checks in stores to help keep
minors from being sold tobacco. It will train employees about state
and local laws regarding tobacco and check the age of anyone buying
tobacco who appears to be younger than 27.
The company will also prohibit the sale of smoking paraphernalia
to minors.
