Little Rock Gets Pumped!

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
People in the political town of Little Rock are getting pumped -- not just about retired General Wesley Clark`s bid for president, but about their beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. The team is having the kind of football season it hasn`t had in years, and there`s a national political campaign under way again in Little Rock. Along with fall days and the first glimpse of autumn leaves, residents say things can`t get much better. At the opposite end of the street from the President Clinton Library construction site, volunteers moved into the new Wesley Clark for President headquarters today. It only takes a look at the numbers. The Razorbacks are ranked Number Eight in The Associated Press poll after starting 4-and-oh and a come-from-behind win at Alabama. And Clark, after just a week in the race, was essentially tied with former Vermont Governor Howard Dean and Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman in a national poll. Posted by Mike Hellgren
